Todae's a great dae, for resting and abit of playin. Eh well, but i've work to do..brought home my unfinished business. Storyboard cleanups, yeah.
But before i get back to work, i did some research on treatment of low white blood cells. A fren of mine is currently hospitalised as i speak, had a high fever and been vomiting in the past few mornings. The docs kinda suspected she was hving dengue fever, pretty serious. But as it turns out, it wasnt! Jus viral infection. Phew...This was wad i gathered:
>>> The lowering of the white blood cells that fight infections is known as Neutropenia. It can be fatal if conditions are left untreated. Without the white blood cells, our body would be defenceless to fight the viruses and bacteria. And where does these cells come from? From our bone marrow, its 'mother' .
Signs And Symptoms:
- Fever
- Frequent infections due to lessened ability to fight bacterial infections
- Mouth ulcers
- Diarrhea
- Burning sensation when urinating
- Unusual redness, pain, or swelling around a wound
- Sore throat
- Shortness of breath
- Shaking chills
>>> Causes can be divided into the following groups:
- Decreased production in the bone marrow:
- hereditary disorders (e.g. congenital neutropenia, cyclic neutropenia)
- cancer
- certain medications
- radiation
- Vitamin B12 or folate deficiency.
>>> Straight to the point. Okae, how can we help? Food dude, food..Vitamin B12 is our good fren now! =D It is naturally found in foods that harbor B12 bacteria including meat (especially liver and shellfish), eggs, and milk products. Fortified breakfast cereals are a particularly valuable source of vitamin B12 for vegetarians and vegans. Table 1 lists a variety of food sources of vitamin B12. A natural vegan source of B12 is the Chinese herb Dang Gui (Angelica sinensis) . The herb is used in Traditional Chinese medicine for treating anemia.
Pls check this out for more! =D
